The EYLF is a framework that outlines the principles and practices for early childhood education in Australia. It focuses on three key concepts: Belonging, Being, and Becoming. These concepts are fundamental to our curriculum and are implemented through a range of intentional teaching strategies and play-based learning experiences.
We create a sense of belonging by fostering a warm and inclusive environment. Our educators achieve this through regular family events and cultural celebrations, encouraging children to share their experiences and traditions. We support children by providing open-ended play experiences that encourage exploration, creativity, and confidence. As children progress, we focus on becoming, supporting their transition to new experiences and environments.
Our curriculum promotes a broad range of learning outcomes, including early literacy and numeracy, social and emotional skills, problem-solving, and creativity. We achieve this through a variety of engaging activities, such as songs, stories, hands-on activities, outdoor play, and movement activities.
Some of the specific programs and activities we offer include our Funded Kinder Program, Japanese Language Program, weekly cooking experiences, yoga, STEM education, Show and Tell, librarian visits, gardening, music and drama, and school readiness programs. We also organize incursions and special events throughout the year, such as Graduation, Christmas Party, and Easter Hat Parade.
